CalTrout works with Dr. Sudeep Chandra at the University of Nevada Reno’s Aquatic Ecosystem Laboratory on imperiled native trout projects and Lake Tahoe fish ecology.

UC Merced

This past summer, CalTrout formalized its relationship with UC Merced with a Master Agreement. UC Merced will provide scientific expertise in CalTrout’s Osa Meadow, greenhouse gas project which will quantify water retention and carbon sequestration in restored Sierra meadows.

Dr. Steve Hart will serve on a project technical advisory committee, working with CalTrout and others to develop robust sampling designs and associated sampling protocols.
