Keystone Lake is a gem located just west of Tulsa on Highway 412, and since the completion of the dam back in 1964, it’s been a hotspot for family fun, camping, fishing and water recreation. What makes Keystone appealing to many is its close proximity to Tulsa – you can be in downtown Tulsa in half an hour or less if traffic and construction are at a minimum. Other nearby communities like Sand Springs and Mannford provide all the essentials and emergency services, and if you have an entertainment emergency that needs immediate attention, good times also abound at Keystone Lake from the state park of the same name to Ugly John’s Marina, just north of 412 near Bear’s Glen. Skiatook Lake Skiatook Lake, conveniently named after the town it’s situated closest to, is the home of the Tallgrass Music Festival held the first weekend of June, and the CrossTimbers Resort, a new development featuring ground-breaking design and innovation.
