Ladies and Gentlemen : you may now hit The Joint

TULSA , Okla . - The acclaimed and beloved Barenaked Ladies returns to Tulsa on Thursday , May 4 . They will perform at the world class music room on the edge of the Tulsa metro , the venue known as The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino .
The Canadian band has released 14 studio albums and they have sold 14 million album copies over a 30-year time span . Even their independent cassette debut in Canada became a Gold record . By the late 1990s the band ’ s Canadian fame had spread south to the United States .
While often called an Alternative or Indie rock band , the music of the Barenaked Ladies includes aspects of pop , folk , hip-hop and dance music . Along with that blend of styles , the band has always incorporated comedy and improvisation into both their live performances and songwriting .
The band has released over 40 radio singles during their career . The band ’ s most wellknown songs include an early hit , “ If I had $ 1,000,000 ” and later efforts like “ It ’ s All Been Done ” and “ Pinch Me ”. But the band ’ s biggest hits of all are “ One Week ” which was a No . 1 single , along with the imminently sing-along-able “ The Big Bang Theory ” TV show theme song , the recording of which appears on the band ’ s best-of album , Hits From Yesterday & The Day Before .
The band recently released a third live album , BNL Rocks Red Rocks , recorded at Colorado ’ s famed scenic Red Rocks Amphitheatre .
Then , just this past month on April 14 , the band contributed most of the music for a new release called Ladies and Gentlemen : Barenaked Ladies and The Persuasions . This new release is a collaborative album between the Barenaked Ladies and famous New York based a cappella singing group The Persuasions . The album is almost entirely re-worked songs from Barenaked Ladies song catalog , but also with a cover of The Persuasions ’ song “ Good Times ” included as well .
