Even if you can ’ t make the trip to Oklahoma City on April 19 , we know you don ’ t need reminding of what that day commemorates . It was a very dark day in Oklahoma , maybe our darkest day in history ; a day we will never forget and those who will carry our legacy forward need to know all they can so a repeat performance never happens .
This year commemorates the 22 nd anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing , and , as in years past , visitors will pour in from all over the country to pay tribute to the innocent souls who lost their lives that day as well as show support and solidarity for those whose lives were forever changed as a result of the bombing .
The Oklahoma City National Monument is located at 620 N . Harvey in Oklahoma City and is quite the tribute . The words that greet visitors are very apropos at this time in our history : “ May all who leave here know the impact of violence . May this Memorial offer comfort , strength , peace , hope and strength .”
