TULSA , Okla . – Warmer temps will soon mean warm nights checking out music at outdoor venues , but while the nights are still chill , there are plenty of indoor musical finds at the Brady Theater – even if tickets are an endangered species for one or two .
The Brady ’ s acts for the past two years have been top notch : comedians , classical rock , country and anniversary parties are just a smattering of the smorgasbord at Brady , both past and future . There are more coming this way and we have the info -
April ’ s big thrill is the Z104 bash happening April 19 . We heard it was sold out , then it wasn ’ t , so we aren ’ t promising anything , but songkick . com claimed there were a few tickets they found in the back on March 14 , and with The 1975 and PVRIS providing the noise , it ’ ll make for some great memories . Fresh off Lollapalooza in Sao Paulo , The 1975 is a sound reminiscent of eighties techno bands , yet different enough to be their own . Some of their videos are throwbacks ; telling a story through each song , taking the viewer through a story , wondering if this is based on real life or not .
We suggest you start checking around for tickets now . And don ’ t give up easily . As a last ditch , you may find a ticket on day of .

on May 3 . Trower , one of the members of early ‘ 70s powerhouse band Procol Harum , their most popular song “ A Whiter Shade of Pale ”, but Trower is most notorious for his Hendrix-like guitar jams on a custombuilt Fender Stratocaster . To watch and listen to him jam live is truly a sight and sound treat . We ’ re betting big that Trower will bring plenty of his old faves for you to sing along with and a few new ones to get you on iTunes for more .
The very next night ( May 4 ), it ’ s the one and ONLY Alice Cooper . We had the pleasure of seeing him live numerous times over the 50 years he ’ s been performing and Alice never disappoints . How he manages to give so much again and again is mind blowing . He ’ s as crazy and dark as ever with each show being part concert , part Vincent Price movie , and always a wild ride . Strap in , hold on and don ’ t lose that new concert tee . A great back-up band with a little twist of unexpected thrown in makes each show unique . Unlike many other artists , Alice hasn ’ t lost his creativity without the influence of alcohol or drugs , if anything , mental clarity has made Alice even better ( and a bit scarier ).
One thing you ’ ll want to check out is his new guitarist : Nita Strauss . Strauss , a direct descendant of Johann Strauss , was voted No . 1 on the ‘ 10 Female Guitar Players You Should Know ’ in Guitar World magazine . Brought in to replace Orianthi , another female guitar legend , Strauss is a phenom , gender be damned . Gal ’ s got some serious smoke coming out of those fingers . While we ’ ll miss Orianthi ’ s cool riffs , to see Nita Strauss ’ s bad-assery on those frets will be worth the ticket price . We could gush about Nita Strauss all day , but you have to see this gal throw down to believe how great she is . It ’ s art to watch her play with or without sound .
If you ’ re ready to get out and see what ’ s shakin ’ and bakin ’ at the Brady , the fun doesn ’ t end in early May . The joint will be jumpin ’ in June and steaming up your summer as well . We ’ ll see what ’ s coming up , what ’ s going down and see what we can find to tempt everybody ’ s tastes .
