mission.
“Carry the Game” seeks to bring more youth caddies into the game. That means
both increasing their numbers where programs exist, and creating new programs where
they don’t. It will promote caddying across the country as a way of introducing young
people to the game as well as delivering the benefits of a great summer job: outdoor
work, good pay, mentoring by the successful men and women who hire them, and the op-
portunity to win hundreds of scholarships associated with caddying.
Born under the auspices of Golf 2020 three years ago, Carry the Game will be over-

caddie scholarships, the Evans Scholarship, which provides tuition and housing to about
950 male and female caddies at universities throughout the Midwest, in Colorado and
Oregon. The initiative is supported by the CSGA and the Ouimet Foundation of Massachu-
setts, among a myriad of other golf foundations and companies.
