T he CSGA One Day Tournaments have long been a way for Connecticut golfers of all ages and abilities to participate in a fun yet competitive atmosphere. For the first time since its inception, the CSGA will conduct a total of fifteen One Day Tournaments at some of Connecticut’s best courses. While most of the events are individual stroke play with gross and net divisions, Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield (pictured) will host a Four-Ball Championship. Players can form their own two-person team and compete in either the Tettelbach (under 55) or Siderowf (55 and over) division for gross and net prizes. The season concludes with the 14th One Day Championship at Shennecossett Golf Course. The top five finishers in each division, gross and net, at each One Day event throughout the season will receive an invitation to compete in the season-ending championship. The One Day Player of the Year Race, sponsored by Chris Cote’s Golf Shop, will also be decided at Shennecossett, where a total of $4,000 in golf shop credit will be distributed to the top point finishers. The entry fee for each One Day Tournament is $75 and includes golf, cart and prizes. Registration opens six days prior to the event at 7:00 a.m. on the CSGA website at csgalinks.org www.csgalinks.org CSGA Links // April, 2017 | 33
