The Road to Erin Hills Starts Here For 120 amateur and professional golfers from across the country, the road to Erin Hills and the 117th United States Open will begin on Tuesday, May 16th. Wintonbury Hills Golf Course, the first Pete Dye course designed in New England, will host the Local Qualifying Round. The course, which has been consistently rated as one of the top municipal courses in the country, will surely provide a stern test as more than 125 bunkers guard the small and challenging green complexes. The last players from Connecticut to successfully qualify for the U.S. Open were Brett Stegmaier and Cameron Wilson, both of whom qualified for the 2014 U.S. Open at Pinehurst #2. 2 | CSGA Links // April, 2017 www.csgalinks.org
