Gaffney, Rainaud Compete in PGA Championship
T
wo of Connecticut’s top PGA
professionals - Brian Gaffney of Darien,
Conn. and Quaker Ridge Golf Club and
Adam Rainaud of South Hadley, Mass. and Black
Hall Club - recently returned from competing in
the season’s final major championship, the 2015
PGA Championship at Whistling Straits. Both
Gaffney and Rainaud earned their spots in the
PGA Championship by virtue of their finish in

Gaffney, playing in his fourth PGA

He shot rounds of 71-73-78-71 for a total of 293 (+5), good enough for low PGA professional honors.
Rainaud, the 2014 Connecticut Section PGA Player of the Year, shot rounds of 74-77--151 (+7) in his first
PGA Championship appearence.
Pictured here, Rainaud and Gaffney played together in the final round of the 81st Connecticut

while Rainaud finished in a tie for ninth place with rounds of 67-72-72--212.
