After advancing through Sectional Qualifying, Dave Szewczul (Tunxis Plantation
CC) and Shawn McLoughlin (Ridgewood CC) are moving on to the 61st Senior
Amateur Championship at Hidden Creek Golf Club. Opened in 2002, the
heathland-style course was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, and
sculpted from 750 acres of aged woodlands. The U.S. Senior Amateur will be
the first USGA championship for the Egg Harbor Township, N.J., facility.
