CSGA Announces Purchase of Golf House in Rocky Hill The Connecticut State Golf Association and Connecticut Section PGA announced an agreement for the sale of the Connecticut Golf House, which will grant full ownership of the facility to the CSGA beginning in 2014. Located at 35 Cold Spring Road in Rocky Hill, Conn, the Connecticut Golf House is a 2,300 square foot office that has been home to the CSGA and CT PGA for over twenty five years. With the continued growth and expansion of the CSGA in recent years, the need for space became a pressing issue. “We have been slowly growing the size of our staff and taking on a greater number of projects, and as a result we’ve been in need of more space for some time,” said CSGA Executive Director Mike Moraghan. “But we could not have done this without having a great partner in the PGA. Throughout this process both of our organizations were appreciative of each others wishes and it has worked out well for all of us. The PGA now has a beautiful office in Glastonbury, and we now have the room we need to operate effectively.” The Connecticut Golf House was originally founded in 1988 when CSGA Executive Director Russell C. Palmer and CT PGA Executive Director Terry Crawford penned their names to the contract for the purchase of Suite 212 at Southway Executive Park. The CSGA and the CT Section PGA will continue to work closely for the betterment of the game of golf in Connecticut. The two organizations collaborate in a number of areas. The associations also come together each May to compete in the Julius Boros Challenge Cup Matches, which showcases top amateurs and professionals from Connecticut in a match play team format. 6 Connecticut State Golf Association
