If we were simply renting out desks , then maybe they would only need to be here half a day per week and it might not even be worth it for them to rent a desk at all . However , they do need a community and they come in to have a coffee and a chat , they want to go skiing with other members , or join a trip to the hot springs .’
It also reflects in the type of people they want to and are attracting . ‘ We ’ re looking for digital nomads ; location independent workers , travellers , like-minded people , people who bring in this vibrant atmosphere ,’ Uwe explains . ‘ But it ’ s not only nomads we ’ re looking for ,’ Irina adds . ‘ Many people who come here are location independent , but they ’ re also looking for a home . Some are thinking of buying an apartment , others want to set up a business here . So we ’ re also looking for people who want a home base and a community and travel out into the world from here .’ In addition , they also open their doors to the local community and are working closely together with them .
