It competes with Oculus and Vive, but is at a much lower price point. However, it will always be limited to the gaming industry, hence why it’s excluded from the main comparison. The fact that it’s only usable with a PS4 (in contrast to a powerful, upgradeable PC), also doesn’t help it in the long run. Google Cardboard and Google Daydream: An extremely cheap alternative to the Gear VR. While the overall quality may be lower as well, users can customise this headset to their liking. It is, however, lacking any form of interaction. The Google Daydream suffers from the same weaknesses, but trades its customisation for a more solid headset. 16
