N ouveau Noir! The Cone - (TC) - You have been doing the show for 15 years, well over a decade and becoming an LA cultural icon in the process - can you remember what it felt like when you did the show for the very first time? Toledo - What I remember is that it was off the cuff and filled with fear of not knowing what exactly was going to come out of my mouth and at the same time, knowing intuitively that whatever it was was being fueled by the madness of my soul. TC - How has the show changed from that first show to the shows you do now? Toledo - There is a film in the chaos that has come from the experience if simply doing and doing ideas as they are happening and that the possibilities of the realities are endless as long as I stay open to inviting in what teaches me to know what I don't know. TC - How have you changed from then to now? Toledo - The two are one in the same, the evolution of the show and the evolution of the man are each others mirrors that reflect both my life in real time. The stories and the songs are forged from the souls That I meet along the way . TC - You start dancing at age 15, you end up working with a Who’s Who of the entertainment industry, you win an MTV Video Award - so what was your “Eureka” moment when you gave birth to the Toledo Show? Toledo - I was nominated for an MTV award- and the journey of the show is the treasure.
