The Cone Issue#3 Autumn 2014 | Page 3

From the Editor’s Desk This is how I like to think about The Cone - a great conversation you have with friends after sharing a delicious meal. Ideas are exchanged, some things are discovered, thoughts are revealed and your senses are engaged. You’ll no doubt laugh a little, learn a little and hopefully walk away energized all the while looking forward to the next gathering and the next great conversation that will surely follow. Using this approach, with each issue I try to curate a varied and interesting conversation for your enjoyment. Reaching out to contributors in other parts of the world makes our great conversation truly a global feast. Adding these voices to our regular contributors creates a wonderful mix of the new and the familiar. Each issue we invite you in to have a coffee, perhaps a cocktail, sit back and become a part of our seasonal exchange. Autumn has always been my favorite season so I am very excited about the conversations we will have in this issue. Our resident Lazy Nomad in Paris shares thoughts on Love & Coffee, we have a gorgeous photo essay that will transport you to New England, we’ll discover places to eat south of the border, as well as get a glimpse of life in Shanghai. All this and more await you on the following pages. Enjoy! 3 THE CONE - ISSUE #3 - AUTUMN 2014
