THE ROAD NOT TAKEN Nope, I did not graduate with any law degree. JUNE LOW EE LYN • • • • June is Founder of EasyLaw. Pertaining to her forward- thinking style and high competency, she founded one of the leading women accessories E-commerce websites which attracted as many as 100,000 followers in Instagram within 2 years without any push or paid advertising Being known to us as the Internet Biz Queen, June has also been actively involved in boosting the company’s sales by using her quick-learning ability and digital marketing proficiency to obtain prospects in property, education, and B2B business sectors. Drawing upon her extensive experience, she is steadfast in closing the gap in the current legal services trend and create a new future for the entire legal community, thus bringing forth to the founding of EasyLaw. June has been featured in News Straits Times, BFM (Business Radio Station) and Capital TV, Oriental Daily. The only relevant subject I took during my undergraduate’s years was probably Business Law. I was taking accountancy, and yet I drop my professional ACCA papers because I believe there could be other things I can venture, other than being an accountant or auditor. I later founded an accessories online shop while I was still studying, before embarking the journey at EasyLaw 1.5 years ago. Same story goes to EasyLaw. How our team come to co-found EasyLaw was due to a mamak catch up – with roti canai + milo ais. Ideas always come in unexpected ways. Me and my co-founders were schoolmates since young. All of us have different education background, different working experience prior to co- founding EasyLaw. I’m with e-commerce background, my co-founders are with education marketplace, banking, IT & legal background. We’re discussing about the future of technology, and we believe the efficiency and productivity of lawyers can be further enhanced via technology. The technology adoption rate in legal profession is still lower as compared to other industry, we thought this gap is a good opportunity for us – and this inspired us to co-found EasyLaw. So moral of the story is: “Go mamak or socialize more often with your friends & school mates, that’s how you can come out with great ideas!” The “Easy Dream” EasyLaw – with the name of “Easy” – our vision is to ensure law is (E)fficient, (A)ffordable, (S)imple to (Y)ou via the use of technology. The “You” here include lawyers, law firms, legal related parties, public and students like you. We want to enhance the efficiency & productivity in this legal eco-system, therefore we come up with EasyLaw mobile App. There are few features we offer in our mobile app. 1.There are legal related calculators to calculate • Legal Fees & Stamp Duty for Sale & Purchase Agreement, Loan Agreement & tenancy agreement. • Real Property Gain Tax (RPGT) • Mortgage Loan Payments • Late Payment/Delivery Interest
