COM Faculty Research Published in eNeuro

The research of Ling Cao, MD, PhD, COM faculty, was published in the September/October 2018 edition of eNeuro entitled, “Contribution of CD137L to Sensory Hypersensitivity in a Murine Model of Neuropathic Pain.” The paper examines the relationship of the molecule CD137L and neuropathic pain. Katherine Pope Leadership Award Recipient

Marilyn R. Gugliucci, PhD, professor and director of Geriatric Education and Research at UNE COM, received the Hospice of Southern Maine's Katherine Pope Leadership for her astounding dedication and advocacy work with hospice. Dr. Gugliucci has been instrumental in incorporating an immersion program through the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough for COM students to acquire a deeper understanding of hospice care.

Dr. Meghan May interviewed by "WMTW" on Pertussis

Megahn May, PhD, Biomedical Faculty at UNE COM, was interviewed by local "WMTW" on vaccinating children against Pertussis. Dr. May specializes in immunology and infectious diseases.
