Let Me Ascertain You is a popular cabaret
series performed in New York and recorded live
for our original podcast series. Each one-nightonly event centers on a theme with interviews
performed by actors and original songs from
the next generation of musical theater
composers.

The Field
Research Team
The Field Research Team (FRT) works with The
Civilians and contributes directly to our shows
and artistic programs. Over the course of the
season the FRT will do research, conduct
interviews and assist in the development of
performances and other projects.
Education &Training
The Civilians’ Investigative Theater Education
Program offers high school and college students
the chance to use our unique approach to
investigative theater and create their own pieces
with a Civilians teaching artist. Through this
in-school education program, students develop
their interviewing, writing, and performing skills
while delving into specific issues and themes.
Associate Artists and staff are also in residency
throughout the year at colleges and universities in
New York City and across the country.
