Best Food Deals in the QC

Almost everyone, regardless of age, loves a great deal on food. There aren’t too many things better than being able to spend a few dollars on a good meal that fills you up. Around the city of Charlotte, there are a select few restaurants that give customers the best bang for their buck when it comes to meal size and quality. These restaurants are a must visit for the food concession and deal scavenger.

The best food deal in Charlotte, hands down, is Pisces Sushi Bar. This restaurant has two locations, Lake Norman and the Metropoliton. The reason Pisces is the best food deal in Charlotte is its all-you-can-eat sushi special. For ten dollars, you get all you can eat fresh sushi until you can't walk out of the restaurant. The special goes from 11:30 am to 2:30 Monday to Friday and from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday. There is also an option that cost an extra five dollars to get all you can eat Nigiri.

The menu includes 26 sushi rolls, six nigiri rolls, fried rice, fried wonton strips, garlic noodles, and vegetable spring rolls. The fish and vegetables are always fresh and great tasting. Although the sides of noodles, rice, and rolls aren't the main reason to go here, they make for a great appetizer before the sushi comes out.

You might be thinking to yourself, how can this idea of all you can eat fresh, high quality sushi for ten dollars be a productive business model, and the answer to your question is unknown. Pisces is a must eat for someone looking for sushi lovers and people looking for great sushi at a reasonable price. On the food review site, Opentable, Pisces was rated a 4.5 out of 5 stars on quality, experience, and price.

The next food deal doesn’t necessarily pertain just to Charlotte because this chain is located across the South. Many high school students know the name Cookout because of its low prices and large portions. The next great deal is the Cookout tray which costs five dollars, in which you receive a main entree, two sides, and a drink. Your options include ten entrees ranging from a big double burger to a quesadilla and ten sides which could be chicken nuggets, a quesadilla, chicken wrap, and many more. The Cookout menu also includes a extensive variety of milkshakes for a dollar which complete the Cookout tray with their sweet addition.

Cookout makes for the perfect late night meal after chearing on your team at a sporting event.

"Great place to go after a game with your friends.

Rico’s Acai isn't known for it’s great prices; however, this food truck is a must visit if you love fresh fruit. The truck is located in the parking lot across the downtown Mint Museum which is on South Tryon Street. The standard Rainbow Bowl is twelve dollars and comes filled with an assortment of fresh fruit along with granola and frozen acai. Every Bowl has the option to add anything from nutella to coconut oil to top off your fresh fruit bowl.

Although the price seems steep, the bowl itself is practically a meal. Rico’s features many other fruit combinations such as the Brazil Bowl, the Butter Bro Bowl, and the Panther Bowl. The fruit is always fresh, and the acai is always frozen. The crunch of the acai along with the array of different fruits make for great flavor.

"The sweet sensation of the chilled fruit mixed with the frozen acai at the bottom and drizzled Nutella on the top brings me more happiness than any other food"
