Today, many people are very familiar with personal use of Facebook and LinkedIn. However, few feel quite as comfortable on Twitter. A common complaint about the ‘Twitterverse’ is that it moves so fast few individuals can keep up with the ultra-speedy pace — let alone even consider marketing their business on this unique social media platform. Some are frustrated with the concise post length and find it difficult to express their intended marketing messages within the tight constraints.

Twitter works differently than Facebook

Since users are limited to very brief posts, it’s common to find long strings of conversations, delivered 280 character chunks at a time. Hashtags are required and used by most users to group relevant information so that others may find it and join into the fray. Similar to Facebook and LinkedIn, it’s possible to attach photos, graphics, or even videos for sharing.
