ROARING TRADE FOR
SWINDON’S TIGER PLANT
At any one time there are many building
and construction projects taking place across
Swindon and Wiltshire. All require heavy plant to
excavate, move pallets and material around a site
effi ciently and quickly.
That plant can travel a long way and be
needed for many weeks while groundwork
is taking place. Often it can break down
and be out of action for days.
Tiger Plant, which has its offi ce in
Swindon and a storage facility in North
Wiltshire, has seen its workload increase
dramatically in the last two months as
companies recognise that they offer a
variety of plant which is well maintained.
The team can also source trained operators
when required.
Currently they have plant hired out to a
range of housebuilding sites in and around
Swindon as well as a large forklift being
used to move palletised materials on a well-
known construction site in the Dorcan area
of Swindon.

THE BUSINESS EXCHANGE 2017
In October the team have been asked
to help prepare for a mystery event of
international interest due to take place
at Cotswold Airport. This project is still
under wraps but will involve Tiger Plant
supplying both plant and trained operators
to complete a complex task.
Andy Rohrer, co-founder of Tiger Plant,
said: “It’s been a busy few months and
the word is starting to circulate that we
are here and able to offer a good service
with a wide range of plant available from
diggers to forklifts to dumpers. We are
fi nding that both commercial clients are
using our services as we will offer very
good rates for longer term hire – but also
domestic customers are hiring our smaller
plant for weekends for home and garden
improvement projects.” Tiger Plant is run
by businessmen Andy and business partner
Stuart Morgan who have worked together
for six years previously in construction and
property development.
The range of plant they can offer
includes micro-diggers, a selection of midi-
diggers and large diggers up to 20 tons.
They can also supply telescopic and masted
forklifts, dumper trucks, fuel bowsers and
compaction machines.
