#CHASINGRAINBOWS
The rainbow will forever be synonymous with the su
of 2020 and Covid-19. A symbol of hope in dark time
reminding us that happier times will follow.
What began in Italy has spread
throughout the world, with many homes
and businesses across the UK adorning
their windows with colourful pictures in
support of our fantastic NHS.
Bath and its surrounds have been no
different, with rainbows seen on nearly
every high street, brightening the days
of those walking by. This is just one
example of how our community has
come together during this crisis. From
the beginning there’s been a sense
of ‘we’re in this together’, and we’ve
seen collaboration for good on an
unprecedented scale. We’ve seen….
• The University of Bath and Bath Spa University
working together to produce over 80,000 pieces
of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our
local hospitals and healthcare services.
• Two local funders, Quartet Community
Foundation and St John’s Foundation, uniting
with FareShare South West to help get food to
those most in need.
• Workers from Midsomer Norton’s Mulberry
factory doing their bit to support the NHS by
making re-usable PPE gowns for NHS workers.
