••• Dr . Donna Bridge Appointed to Task Force
Congratulations to Dr . Donna Bridge , AEGD Dental Director , Jessie Trice Community Health Center in Miami , FL , who was appointed to the American Dental Education Association ( ADEA ) Postdoctoral Application Support Service ( PASS ) Task Force beginning March 2016 for a 3-year term . Dr . Bridge was also appointed as an examiner consultant to the CDCA in June 2016 . This role gives her the ability to examine dental boards in any of the 46 states / jurisdictions and Jamaica where the examination is administered .
••• Dr . Krishna Akilesh Appointed to American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Congratulations to Dr . Krishna Akilesh , who was appointed in October 2015 to serve as a consultant to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry ( ABPD ). In this capacity , he has been involved in preparing qualifying , oral clinical and renewal of certification examinations , and has provided services in support of the ABPD certification process for board candidates .

NYU Lutheran Dental Faculty Elected to International College of Dentists
Congratulations to Dr . Jeffrey Burns , Associate Director General Practice Residency Program and Dr . Michael Feldman , Endodontic faculty member . Both were inducted as Fellows of the International College of Dentists at its 86 th Annual Convocation in Washington , DC , held November 6 , 2015 . An honorary organization for the recognition of outstanding and meritorious service to the profession and community , the College presented its fellows with a membership plaque , a gold lapel pin and a gold key symbolic of this Fellowship for conspicuous service rendered in the art and science of dentistry . Dr . Feldman joined Drs . Robert Goldberger and Paul Weseley as the third member of the Endodontic family to be inducted .
••• Dr . Ram Vaderhobli Inducted as Fellow to the Academy of Medical Educators
Congratulations to Dr . Ram Vaderhobli , DDS , MS , NYU Lutheran Dental Medicine AEGD Associate Director at University of California San Francisco ( UCSF ), who was recognized and inducted as fellow to the Academy of Medical Educators ( AME ) in Fall 2015 . Dr . Ram is the first dentist to be inducted into AME , which traditionally has only recognized physicians as fellows . Dr . Vaderhobli , associate professor in UCSF Dentistry ’ s Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences Department , was recognized by the UCSF School of Medicine for his efforts in educational leadership , teaching and mentoring . Dr . Vaderhobli was formally welcomed into the Haile T . Debas AME on September 28 , 2015 .
