The Entertainment

.The music was the second most important thing for me. Our church singer was Nicola McGuire, she was just fantastic, everybody was saying how wonderful she was for weeks later. I walked down the aisle to the Pixie Lott version of Kings of Leon, ‘Use Somebody’

We had a lively trad band at arrivals, I never even got to hear them but everyone seemed to enjoy them. Our reception band and DJ was the outstanding Oddity. The floor was full all night long. It was great. Our first dance was an unusual one-we went for Clean Bandit's ’Rather Be’…it was a great hit. We aren’t ones for slow dancing so this was perfect and everyone joined in.

I wasn’t one bit nervous in the lead up to the wedding, but when I woke up that morning, it hit

me. Once I started getting the hair and makeup done I was fine.

It was so busy at the house that morning, that we never even thought to pop open the champagne. Stephen tells me he wasn’t one bit nervous, just excited.

He is so laid back anyway, he wouldn’t be one to stress. I surprised him that morning and had three

Mitsubishi Evolutions hired to collect the lads to bring to the church. They looked great. He had

surprised me with a big scrapbook filled with pictures of us from the last 9 years together. It was

lovely.

Our Photographer was the much sought after Melissa Mannion. The photos say it all. We recently received our album and couldn’t be happier. Again I trusted Melissa 100% and I knew she would do a

great job. She had everyone organised on the day and we got through the photos so fast.

We hadn’t really organised a honeymoon, so we went to Portugal for four nights and will hopefully

organise a trip to America in the near future.

I wouldn’t change a thing from the day, even the weather was perfect. My advice to brides would be

to be really happy and trust the person you are hiring for whatever service and leave them to do their job. They have the experience and know best what works.

Don’t stress over the little things. I forgot to bring the colouring books to the reception for the children and was in a panic all week to get them and on the day when they weren’t there it made no difference. Its easy to get worked up over those little things and its silly really. Everyone is there to help so delegate those jobs.
