FBLA Business Field Trip to Kauffman Foundation. FBLA students preparing to serve breakfast on Veteran’s Day. 2015-2016 FBLA NEWS FBLA has had a very successful/busy year. FBLA was involved in the following activities: »» We started the year with a fun night of Office Olympics. Around 65 students attended the event. Students worked together to play games and eat pizza. »» FBLA students helped clean the state park on three different occasions. About 20 students attended each event. »» FBLA students helped with the Backpack Buddies program. Each month we went to Harvester’s in St. Joseph, Missouri and bagged the food for children on free or reduced lunch. »» FBLA students attended a day of fun at Worlds of Fun »» FBLA students cooked breakfast for the community on Veterans Day. »» American Enterprise Week – Junior High and High School students learned about the American Enterprise system by completing worksheets, playing games, and discussing the topic. »» FBLA teamed up with Student Council to provide Christmas gift bags to senior citizens. »» Results from District Contest: West Platte FBLA took home a total of 33 medals (4 – 1st Place, 5 -2nd Place, 10– 3rd Place, 8 – 4th Place, and 6– 5th Place). All 1st place winners in performance events and 1st – 5th place winners in online testing events will represent District 4 at the State Leadership Conference in Columbia, April 2426. A total of 44 West Platte FBLA members qualified to compete at the state level. »» Business Field Trip: Students attended an Entrepreneurship workshop at the Kauffman Foundation.
