Living Will

by Sonia Greenfield

When I die

spread my ashes

on Splashdown!

so crumbs of me

can be in your
family photos as you

plunge over the flume-y

precipice. When I die

bury me in a giant
Reese's Peanut Butter
Cup. When I die feed
me to the bacon pigs

as retribution. When

I die let my tombstone
say Here lies one
whose name was writ

in Maker's Mark.

When I die march

my bones through

the Macy's Day Parade

between the inflatable
Smurf and Snoopy.
When I die intern

my body with my

favorite glass animals

and my coffee mug and

my backlogged issues

of The New Yorker.

When I die tie my urn
to the underbelly of

a whale. When I die

tell my son he was

a force of gravity

pinning me to Earth

until weightlessness
could not be refused.

When I die send my

ghost on a cruise.
