“ What ?” Susan demanded indignantly . “ We didn ’ t do anything .”
“ You don ’ t have to ! Bodies just stack up wherever you go .”
Yes , Ginger and Susan are at it again !
For those who have read “ Murder at the Arabian Nights ”, the first book in “ The Belly Dance Mysteries ” series , you can once again enjoy the continuing antics of these amateur sleuths who just happen to be belly dancers . This time they are studying the Tahtib ! Ouch !
For those just discovering Rebecca Wolfe-Nail ’ s murder mystery series and lucky enough to be belly dancers as well , you may find a joy in reading a story that centers around the life of belly dancers . There are references to Middle Eastern dance and culture that will be familiar and some that will have you visiting Google to understand more .
Of course both Susan and Ginger have active schedules along with mundane 9-to-5 jobs , that is if you can consider Ginger ’ s job mundane . Did I mention there is a recipe for removing skunk scent in the book ? Then there are the husbands who , through arduous long hours of practice , have progressed nicely in their bagpipes training since the last book ! Banshee is still terrifying the unwary .
Amidst all of their busy lives these two belly dancers still manage to “ find ” the odd dead body , in fact more than one ! The first death , as the title implies , happens at a wedding attended by many of the local belly dancers and musicians . Problem is no one feels bad about the victim ’ s demise and in fact the list of suspects is quite extensive . So who do the police pin the crime on ? Why only the most beloved person in town who happens to be friends with Susan and Ginger . They have to help as much as they can to get their
