I have known Malia for many years now, having attended
her annual Hawaii Belly Dance Convention seven times, and
also being a member of her HBDC Team. We originally met
through her dance newsletter, and then through Facebook
before we met in person. Over the years, I have been
inspired by her inclusiveness and work ethic, and I would
like more people to know about what a dynamic performer,
instructor, and promoter she is! Malia is the producer of this
fabulous five-day convention on the breathtaking island of
Oahu, Hawaii, now in its 12 th year. Mark your calendars

Malia is multi-talented, as an instructor (motivational and
promoting an aloha spirit), a promoter, and a performer. I
have seen her creatively perform the dance of seven veils as
well as expertly dance with double canes. Malia’s style, to
me, is a classy, and sometimes spicy elegance, and she is a
sweet and driven person on
