Jamal is an Internationally recognized Dance Master and Instructor of Near & Middle Eastern
Dance Arts with a legacy that spans more than 38 years. She has been a published writer since
2009 and freelances as a writer for dance publications, as well as her newsletter (since 1997),
and her blog, SMOC (Sunday Mornings Over Coffee) - Mighty Muse News and Sunny Thoughts
(on Tumblr). Jihan’s goal as a Dance Master & writer, is to represent Arabic dance culture with
love, dignity, elegance and pride. She lives in Miami, FL, USA with a secondary home base in Prague, Czech Republic.
