The Brigham Young University Cancer Awareness Group (CAG) is the BYU CRC’s student affiliate. This student run organization has a three-fold mission:

1) Educating BYU and community members about cancer risk reduction and early detection

2) Serving individuals and families affected by cancer

3) Raising funds to further cancer research

The club’s largest annual project is the Rex Lee Run Against Cancer, which honors those who have fought or are fighting cancer and raises funds that go directly to cancer research at Brigham Young University. Other projects include sponsoring and organizing seminars on cancer prevention, participating in “Pink Outs” at athletic games in honor of breast cancer victims, educating the campus community on diet and sun exposure, creating gifts for cancer patients in various centers throughout the community, serving families affected by cancer, and a host of other projects.
