I never truly understood how some people were so crazy about their pets, till I took on the responsibility myself. Don’t get me wrong, I grew up having pets, I even was lucky enough to have pony, however the true responsibility of having them stay alive, was not just up to me.

I knew with my travel schedule, and her being a puppy she was going to need a lot of attention and I would need some help. As much as I knew I got this, I also knew I wanted to do what was best for her as well. I immediately took her to my brother and sister’s in law since they have always had dogs and they could be the ones to help guide me on my new little fur kid…upon arrival I will never forget-everyone was so very happy for me and it was a few weeks till Christmas. She was like a little stuffed animal, almost fake looking, but someone else that day was truly the most excited..you see, my brother’s lab- Ms. Bingley (Ms. B) was only 4 years old and she immediately created a bond with the puppy. We truly believe she thinks Josie is her baby as no dog would put up with the things Josie does to her. On walks, and hikes, Ms. Bingley is never too far from making sure Josie is o.k. or near-by. Their size difference does not seem to matter, and lucky for me since Ms. B was so well trained-Josie picked up many good habits. It’s amazing to see, how much dogs actually learn from each other-however the love labs have with water is something lil Josie is not buying into any time soon.

They play, and Josie has become another part of their family, when I travel. I am blessed to have family so close, and Josie to have found a “Dog Mom” in Ms. Bingley since we don’t know what happened to her mom since Josie was rescued from a box in the trash. This pup as my friends say..hit the jackpot-but I tell them she is the one who has truly changed me for the better, and opened my eyes in so many ways to appreciate so many other things.

Mom’s come in all different ages, sizes and shapes. Being a mother doesn’t mean being related to someone by blood-it means loving someone unconditionally with your whole heart! So, Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s, Fur Moms, and Dog Mom’s out there. Here are a few quotes, I hope you enjoy!

"God couldn’t be physically with us so he he gave us dogs…"

"Notice? Dog spelt backwards is God and they both show us unconditional love."

" A dog is the only creature on earth that loves you more then he loves himself."

" Gets blamed for everyone’s farts"

"There are no bad days when you come home to a dogs love!"

" Dogs have a way of finding people that need them, and filling an emptiness we didn’t even know we had"

Love Always,

Happy

“Fur Mom” Day!

For me, I always wanted kids, but unfortunately it was not in the stars to happen. So, when just over 2 ½ years ago, I rescued my fur pup Josie, I gained an even bigger respect for “Mom’s” in general. Not having kids, I really only have had to take care of myself, and it’s been a process learning someone has to go to the bathroom in the morning before me!
