Twenty thousand eighteen ! For an older person , this seems really different . How can time be passing by so quickly ? I guess the younger you are , the slower time goes , but the older you get , the faster it goes . Just the way it is .
We are all proud of the East Central Football Team . Winning the State Championship Award in their division is a great accomplishment . Good job , guys . Keep up the good work with a lot of practices !
Seems like these winter months are kind of hard to get through . We like to keep a close watch on the weather as we do not want to get caught in too much snow or icy conditions . We just stay inside and keep warm . Still , we love watching the kids enjoy the snow . It is always fun building a snowman and making snow angels . Snowball fights can happen , but be careful . We are not allowed to throw a snowball at anyone ’ s head- only body shots . Sleigh rides are great fun , and one can learn to ice skate if it gets cold enough .
With all this fun , we should
not want winter to pass too quickly . Spring does not have to come so soon after all .
Writing a Beacon article and staying within the deadline to get it turned in sometimes puts the pressure on us , but we seem to just keep writing . We do enjoy reading everyone ’ s articles . They are all interesting , so keep writing .
We have to keep the bird feeders filled . However , as I am writing this , not many birds are around . Hopefully , the birds did a good job of eating all those weed seeds and bugs before it got too cold and snowy . All the birds do enjoy eating from the feeders .
Ernie and I celebrated our fifty-fifth wedding anniversary in December . We both had to laugh because it sure does not seem to be that many years since we were married . We still enjoy going places and doing things together . What a blessing !
We are hoping my sister Joyce Huffman can feel better ,

February in Dearborn County , Southeast Indiana ... the Perfect Place to Play !

does her rehab , and gets home soon . We love you , Joyce .
We are happy Ann Jeffries is doing well . Ann is still recuperating and staying with her daughter , Bev Cornelius .
If you have anything interesting for the Beacon , please get in touch with me . We will get it printed .
Thank you , everyone , for reading our articles . We appreciate your compliments .
Abraham Lincoln said , “ I do the very best I know how , the very best I can , and I mean to keep on doing so until the end .”
