TU GIVES BACK
The University of Tulsa has partnered with the Little Light House in several different
ways this past year. They have provided Speech Therapy services, volunteers, and
so much more. We would like to acknowledge and thank TU for everything they have
done, and continue to do for the LLH!
LAMP Groups
TU Speech Pathologist Majors lead Lan-
guage Acquisition through Motor Planning
groups with several of our students this
summer. These groups help our little ones
learn how to communicate using the LAMP
app. These groups were not only beneficial
to our children, but helped the Speech
Pathology Majors understand how to be
flexible in their plans, to work with several
different students at once, and that LAMP
is not just a toy for these kids, but it is their
way of communication and their voice.
Nursing Program
The nursing students at TU do their
pediatric clinical rotation at the Little Light
House. They get hands on experience
working with children with special needs
in a unique environment. The nursing stu-
dents also come back to volunteer in the
classrooms on days they are not in class.
