The Baseball Observer - Jan/ Feb 2017

•No email address to contact the head

coach (or other staff, the general

baseball office, sports information

director, etc.).

•No telephone number. We can

understand possibly not giving the

coaches office numbers – but at least

give a general baseball office

number.

•No recent news about games,

players, or other program related

news. As of Jan 6th, 2017 - no new

news articles since Sept/ Oct 2016

A few not since July/ Aug!(Why not?)

•No stats or archived news articles

from previous years.

•No picture(s) of coaching staff.

•No player biographies, no pictures of

players

•If there were pictures of players – no

link from picture to a biography

•No pictures of the facilities (baseball

field, weight room, etc.) - Are you

embarrassed?

Whether you like it or not or believe it or not your program website is a reflection on your program and how you run it. It will influence a prospective recruit’s interest.

Here’s a simple test. Look at your baseball website and ask yourself:

"Would I want to play here?"

Umm,

that's a

bad sign.
