Q: With all the games baseball play during a season, you miss classes. How do you stay "on top" of that? A: Communicating with professors was something I was initially uncomfortable with. However, I realized that in order to stay on top of everything in my classes I had to communicate with my teachers on a regular basis about when I will be missing class and what topics I will miss. Q: Are your grades better in high school or college? A: Surprisingly my grades have been better in college compared to high school. I learned proper study techniques from my teammates and tutors throughout college to help me get the best grades I can get. Q: What overall advice would you pass on to an incoming freshman baseball player? A: I would stress to every incoming freshman that it is important to stay confident in their ability. They got recruited for a reason. They have the talent to be there and they don't need to put any unnecessary stress on themselves to perform or impress. I would also advise getting all the help possible each semester from tutors and academic support systems to maximize their chances of getting good grades.
