T
he Litigation Section started its series of breakfast
meetings on September 12 with David Walbert of
Parks, Chesin & Walbert speaking on appellate
practice. It was a fantastic presentation and we thank David
for his thoughtful remarks.
The breakfast meetings continue on October 10 with Chief
Judge Phipps speaking on “The Everlasting Dream: Equality
for All.” The breakfasts take place on the second Friday of
each month at 7:30 am at the Ansley Golf Club. If you have
ideas for topics or for other Litigation Section programs, please
contact anyone on the Litigation Board with your ideas.
The Litigation Section will be co-sponsoring a social with the
Family Law Section on October 23 from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm at
Gordon Biersch in Buckhead.
The Litigation Section would like to thank our student co-chairs
for this year. We are looking forward to their participation
and energy this year! Our student co-chairs include Mary
Caroline Dyke (The University of Georgia), Ben Ralston
(The University of Georgia), Anna Myer (Mercer), Jessica
Uzzo (Mercer), Clark Karell (Georgia State University), Brea
Croteau (Georgia State University), Nakea Garrett (John
Marshall), Jeremy Yakle-Durrence (John Marshall) and
