Lunch options around the Fulton County Courthouse certainly come and go , but the Courthouse itself now has a revitalized market on the first floor with Chick-Fil- A that is open for breakfast and lunch . Also , on Thursdays , a food truck is parked outside the Government Center ( on the 136 Pryor Street side ). A few blocks away is a co-working space called the Post Office ( 86 Pryor Street SW ; postoffice-cowork . com ) that has locally sourced eats as well as a rotating fresh produce selection if you want to stock up after court .
Stuck at the Courthouse past 4 and loath to get in traffic ? Several nearby happy hours can provide an escape : Alma Cocina ( 191 Peachtree Street NW ) has $ 5 drink specials and chips and salsa from 4-6 pm ; the Atlanta Grill in the Ritz Carlton hosts an oyster happy hour on Mondays at 5:30 pm ; take in a sunset at the Polaris on Wednesdays and look for halfprice bubbles ; and , Ray ’ s In the City boasts $ 6 glasses of wine from 3-6 pm .
Gwinnett County Courthouse
The massive Gwinnett County Justice & Administrative Center is a far cry from the old Courthouse pictured herein . The Justice Center sits on 61-acres with a gross square footage of 508,000 . There are certainly quiet places other than the Law Library to get some work done away from the twentyseven courtrooms . If you grab a bite to eat in the Justice Center ’ s cafeteria , and you are a member of the Atlanta Bar ’ s sister organization , the Gwinnett County Bar , you receive a discount . Share a snack with an adversary ! Similarly , many of the nearby restaurants offer lunch specials and discounts perfect for Atlanta Bar ' s Take Your Adversary to Lunch .
Cobb County Courthouse

On any given day , an attorney walking into the Cobb County Law Library will not only see a quiet library ; with a sweep of a gaze , one will find a citizen gathering forms from the reserve for her impending petition to a court , two attorneys whispering in rushed negotiations , an attorney researching on books and a librarian who is quick to assist in a research quest .
Speaking of quests , it is a small quest to reach Cobb County Law Library . It is in the basement of the State Court building and to reach it , you will need to get to the second floor and take a stairwell from there to the basement . Some have likened its location to that of a converted fallout shelter , but is well worth the trek !
The Library boasts up-to-date treatises on State and Federal law , maintains publicly available electronic research tools ( Read : FREE WESTLAW and LEXIS ), and printing costs . 25 ¢ a page . The Library maintains up-to-date federal reporters and a small reserve of forms for pleadings . It also has a three-person staff ready to assist you in your research tasks and regularly arranges for Lexis trainings .
The Library is preparing to move to the Superior Court building , where it will have more space and capacity to meet the needs of Cobb County ' s citizens and legal community . The move will see the Library ' s space significantly increase , and it will be closer to the Cobb Court system ’ s “ barrista under the stairs .” The move is tentatively scheduled for Fall 2018 , but in the meantime it remains ready to assist you in your legal research needs .
