Celebrating 125 Years ersary Luncheon Celebration need to reevaluate how the current justice system operates and the need to change the current way of delivering justice. He challenged Atlanta lawyers to transform our justice system by working to “dispel the fear of our legal system; make lawyers, and the law, visible to the American public; and address structural barriers like cost, delay, and complexity that prevent people from accessing justice.” His notes as given can be found here. The Official News Publication of the Atlanta Bar Association A short film documenting the illustrious history of the Atlanta Bar Association from 1888 to present day provided the crowd with a pictorial history of the Bar’s progress and achievements. You can view the film here. At the end of the luncheon, President Wade Watson led a champagne toast to salute the men and women of the Atlanta Bar and encourage them into the future. Each attendee was given a special edition 125th Anniversary Celebration etched bottle of wine from the Atlanta Bar as a commemorative gift. March 2014 THE ATLANTA LAWYER 7
