ATLANTA BAR ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS From the Board We asked each Atlanta Bar Board "What is your favorite summer cocktail/drink?" Lemonade! Christina Baugh, Treasurer, Fellows LaBriola LLP I have two favorite summer drinks. Pimm’s Cup is one my favorite drinks because: 1) it is a very pretty drink and what I mean by that is it has mint, slices of orange, and crushed strawberries so the colors are really vibrant, and 2) it’s a very refreshing drink (drinks where you can taste the alcohol turn me off but with Pimm’s cup, you have the juices from the fresh fruit, the flavor of mint that make your tastes buds go “oh wow!”). Moscow Mule is one of my other favorite drinks: 1) it is served in a copper mug and who doesn’t love a copper mug? and 2) I love the combination of ginger beer with fresh lime juice. I think it is the perfect “wake your taste buds” drink on a hot summer day. Amy B. Cheng, Nelson Mullins Gin & tonic with St. George Terroir Gin. Craig Cleland, Secretary, Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Steward, P.C. Super sugary sweet tea! Caren Cloud, Truancy Intervention Project Mine is sangria! My second favorite is sparkling lemonade with thyme. Mary Ann Hanke, U.S. 11th Cir. Court of Ap- peals On a humorous note: My favo rite drink right now is ice-water. I’m thinking about doing a triathlon toward the end of the summer. The recipe is crushed ice and about five fingers of chilled water garnished with a lemon. Stirred, not shaken of course. Kevin Patrick, Kevin Patrick Law Red Hare Brewery’s 50/50 (Marietta, Geor- gia). It’s delicious and perfect for the beach and the pool. Nora Robb, ACYL President, Bodker, Ramsey, Andrews, Winograd & Wildstein, P.C. I like any cold fruity drink with a little umbrella on the side! Laurie Robbins, Robbins Law, P.C. Water, no ice, with a splash of cranberry or lime juice. Maggie Vath, Immediate Past-President, Georgia State University, College of Law I love ginger-based drinks in summer. I have a shot of Farmhouse Culture Gut Shot Ginger Beet first thing in the morning and BAM! I’m energized and ready to slay my litigation dragons. For a ginger-forward cocktail, I recommend the Lady Lawrence; it also contains lavender mint tea vodka, cassis, lime, and soda. http://www.thelawrenceatlanta.com/cocktails Jessica Wood, Bodker, Ramsey, Andrews, Winograd & Wildstein, P.C.
