RESTAURANT REVIEW ATLAS By Abbey Morrow Counsel on Call [email protected] A tlas is an upscale, intimate fine dining experience wellsuited for business or pleasure. Located within the St. Regis in Buckhead, Atlas features a carefully curated seasonally-inspired menu of American Regional cuisine that changes daily. The quiet and upscale atmosphere makes Atlas ideal for one on one dining, dinner parties, and business meetings in the restaurant’s private room. The restaurant is open daily for drinks and dinner. Plan to make a long evening of it when dining at Atlas: your meal will be a leisurely and memorable culinary event. Although ideal for special occasions, Atlas’s inviting atmosphere is also well-suited as a regular meeting place with a welcoming library space at the entrance filled with books relating to 20th-century art, an intimate bar space and an open outdoor terrace. In addition to excellent cuisine and a carefully curated cocktail and spirits menu, Atlas features twentieth century artwork from the collection of Joe Lewis, owner of Tavistock Group, which owns both the St. Regis property and Atlas. While I dined on citrus-cured yellowtail hiramasa, black angus filet, and slow cooked mushrooms simmered to perfection, my eyes feasted on original pieces by Monet, Chagall, and Picasso. The restaurant also currently features a collection by Japanese artist Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita. Atlas, located at 88 West Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30305, is open for dinner starting at 5:30 PM; the bar opens daily at 4:30 PM. The menu changes daily, but can accommodate a variety of palettes, including those who are gluten free. Valet and self-parking options are available. ■ www.atlasrestaurant.com The Official News Publication of the Atlanta Bar Association THE ATLANTA LAWYER 29
