PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE The Atlanta Bar Association is Ready to Go in 2019 Nicole G. Iannarone Georgia State University School of Law The new year is a time of reflection. We look back upon the defining events of the prior year, thinking about that we are most proud of and what challenged us the most. As we look for- ward, we develop plans based on the lessons of the past, hoping that each successive year will allow us to grow and conquer challenges old and new. several exciting new ideas soon to be launched. Board member Chris Lightner and Foundation Board Chair Betsy Griswold spearhead our new Side Bar program, linking lawyers of different levels of experience in smaller groups to develop deep relationships for mentoring and service. Side Bar will launch with a pilot program this spring, and you won’t want to miss this great opportu- nity. With a new year comes a new focus on health, and the Atlan- ta Bar is here to be a resource. Reach out if you are interested in participating in our new Wellness initiative and helping develop both educational programming and fun, healthy events... At the Atlanta Bar, we are half- way through our bar year. In 2018, we learned by listening to our members. Over the sum- mer, our board identified stra- tegic priorities upon which to focus, thinking deeply about engaging our members no matter their stage of practice.
