PUBLIC INTEREST LAW
The Public Interest Law Section (PILS) is
gearing up for an exciting fall. The section
is dedicated to furthering the practice
and perception of law, with a focus on
public interest law. As such, PILS regularly
hosts educational programs, outreach and
networking initiatives, and community
service opportunities. We welcome all lawyers
with an interest in equal access to justice for
impoverished people.

increasing collaboration between nonprofit
legal providers, the judiciary, law firms,
corporations, and individual members to
advance public interest law in Atlanta. In
October, PILS will be hosting a Nonprofit
Summit for nonprofit legal services providers
in Atlanta to share information about each
organization’s mission and priorities and
to share information and best practices for
case referral protocols, and effective client
services. The Summit will provide a wonderful
opportunity for networking and learning
more about each organization’s work for
the Atlanta community. In addition to the
Nonprofit Summit, PILS will be hosting a
service project and social where members and
non-members can network and learn more
about the great public interest law work in
Atlanta’s legal community. contact Aarti Sharma, past PILS chair at
[email protected].

Bar Association’s Legal Runaround 5K Race
