3 1 2 4 1 - L-R: Carla Franklin (South Atlanta ’19/Gideon’s Promise) was with Nekia Hackworth Jones (Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough) was selected to receive the first ever Founders’ GRIT award for embodying impressive grit, dedication and grace. 2 - For the first time in the program’s history, the same three interns were selected for the John Jenkins Award for Excellence in the Summer Law Internship Program and were the Top 3 finishers in the Terrence Croft Essay Competition. L-R: Vanessa Okojie (Eagle’s Landing ‘19/U.S. Bankruptcy Court), Gabrielle Delille (Hiram ‘20/ Judge Cynthia Adams), and Aishah Balogun (Brookwood ‘19/King & Spalding). 3 - Two-time intern Kyle Hill (Westlake ’19/Nelson Mullins), was unanimously selected to speak at the Intern Appreciation Breakfast. 20 August/September 2019 4 - Former intern Isabella Minter spoke at the Intern Appreciation Breakfast on “What the Internship Program Has Meant to Me.” Isabella interned in 2013 at the United States Bankruptcy Court and in 2014 at Chick-fil-A Foundation/Department of Homeland Security. Minter graduated in May 2019 from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York and was commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army.
