The Law School Outreach Commit-
tee (LSOC) increased law student
membership to over 600 in-state
and out-of-state law student mem-
bers this year. LSOC supported
students and the Atlanta Bar lead-
ership pipeline by holding monthly
committee meetings and focusing
on the unique needs of each school
by including law school liaisons for
Emory School of Law, Georgia
State University College of Law,
John Marshall Law School, Mercer
University School of Law, and Uni-
versity of Georgia of Law. LSOC
committee members travelled to

law schools throughout the school
year to register new members and
to support existing members along
with on-campus events.
In March, the LSOC, in partnership
with the Atlanta Bar Judicial and
Litigation Sections, coordinated
the judicial panel, “A View From
the Bench” at the Georgia State
University College of Law. The panel
allowed law students an opportu-
nity to interact meaningfully with
judges, and learn how to acquire
excellent results for clients during
the trial and appellate stages of a
case. Lastly, committee members
provided Georgia law students end-
of-the-school-year “Good Luck” treat
bags during finals and wrote articles
for The Atlanta Lawyer to provide
law students guidance on network-
ing and job hunting.
