On March 19 , 2018 , the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association and the Honorable Christopher S . Brasher , Chief Judge of the Superior Court of Fulton County Family Division , held a CLE entitled , “ An Insider ' s Guide to the Fulton County Family Division ” at the Georgia State Bar Association . The CLE included three different question and answer sections with each of the four Fulton County Family Law Division judges , their respective staff attorneys , and three judicial officers from the Family Law Division .
Kyla Lines , Esq . moderated the staff attorneys Q & A section as they spoke candidly about each of their dos and don ' ts of how the members of the family bar interact with the staff attorneys and each judge ’ s staff members . The Honorable Gary Alembik moderated as each of the judicial officers outlined and clarified their roles in the Family Law Division and let the audience know some of their pet peeves during status conferences . Lastly , Randall Kessler , Esq . moderated the judges of the Family Law Division ’ s Q & A as they spoke at length about how to handle 120 day status conferences , opening and closing statements , and requests for attorney ’ s fees via hearing or by brief . Each of the Q & As was very informative and provided everyone in attendance with an invaluable look into the inner workings of the Superior Court of Fulton County Family Law Division .
