Born in Paris to French and Russian parents,
C. Morey de Morand originally trained as a
scientist (lecturing in Pharmacognosy, the study
of medicines of plant and animal origin).
She then studied art in Canada and New
Zealand. Since the late 1970s, she has been
painting in London and has exhibited her work
widely. She is a member of the prestigious
London Group and a founding member of the
Riverside Artists Group.

I am against cruelty and injustice inflicted upon academics, intellectuals
and all such targets of these tyrannies. I applaud the brave intelligence
