Matthew 25:35-40
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave
me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and
you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and
you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord,
when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you
drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or
naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison
and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as
you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

This isn’t the case for everyone; there are those who are born in
poverty, that don’t have enough to eat and nowhere to sleep on
a regular basis. Those that don’t have a proper education due to
bad schools or violence in their neighborhoods that prevent them
from accomplishing the educational goals they may desire. Others
are born in third world countries that don’t have the resources for
anyone or only for the advantaged. Yet others are born in the world
where it is torn with violence and war. These are the truly needful.

The verse above is equality in God’s eyes. We are not equal in this world of material goods, but we are one in Christ
Jesus. We are not all born or rise to the same economic levels. We do not all indulge in the same economic freedoms. But
we are all part of God’s creation and we are all His children. We are all created in His image and being so we all enjoy
creativity. I hope you enjoy all the art and thoughtful conversation inside these pages and that it will soften your heart
to God’s beauty and mercy. Shalom.
