184 Whereas Anil Arjandas and Julien Riad Sahyoun’s designs are specifically tailored towards men, Anglo-Chinese designer Mary Ching’s pieces were originally directed at women, but due to a huge demand, a new collection is to be launched specifically for men. Mary Ching specialises in creating unique, fine jewellery accessories, or ‘amulets’, for watches. The amulets are revolutionary and beautiful designs by entrepreneur Alison MC Yeung, who came up with the concept during her years as a student at the prestigious design school Central Saint Martins, in London. The design of her amulets are truly spectacular, as they allow clients to personalise and customise their time pieces with luxury accessories made from precious stones, metals and diamonds, but without damaging, and hence devaluing, the watches themselves. The result is an exquisitely bejewelled and distinctive accessory to personalise any timepiece, whilst ensuring the integrity of the watches own design.
