West Dean Tapestry Studio
West Dean Tapestry Studio’s master weavers collaborate with leading artists and designers to translate
their images into handwoven tapestry. The Studio has worked with Tracey Emin, Martin Creed and with
interior designer Faye Toogood in recent years. Clients have included the Houses of Parliament, The
Mercers Company, The White Cube Gallery, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Historic Scotland. The
Studio began life weaving 23 tapestries for The Henry Moore Foundation from 1976 – 1987.

being translated, sometimes as much as 15 times.”
