design-house + manufacturer, based in the heart of Vancouver’s design
community in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Founded by designer
Michael Gottschalk, Blu Bathworks owes its continued growth to its design
philosophy based on producing bold architectural bathware that balances form
and function. Collaborating with established designers and premium factories
in Europe, Gottschalk has quickly reached a high level in both aesthetics and
design structure.
Blu off ers the complete modern bathware solution, fully certifi ed for the Global
market, with a product range that includes freestanding bathtubs, sinks, shower
bases, tapware, shower systems, toilets and bidets, furniture + accessories - all
designed to work in harmony or as standalone pieces. Blu’s off ering has been
tailored as a series of collections - all showcasing an integrated, minimalist style
with a surprisingly extensive use of bold colours and high-end fi nishes.
The jewel in Blu’s crown is the brand’s signature eco-friendly blu·stone ™ collection
which is available in a luxury range of bathtubs, sinks, countertops and shower
bases. blu·stone ™ is a unique material comprising of 80% quartzite stone and
20% bio based resin. Products are developed in high pressure injected molded
forms that allow endless opportunities to support the most stunning forms and
shapes. With virtually no production wastage, due to its recyclable nature, this
eco-friendly material is anti-microbial, non-porous and lasts a lifetime.
European know-how and an investment in technology have been key to Blu’s
